How Ford Helped Win the Space Race
JFK’s challenge to “go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard,” was the mantra that Ford took on as part of the space race team, that got Apollo 11 to the moon.
It’s little known fact: Ford and it’s subsidiary company Philco supplied the telemetrics to NASA that enabled astronauts to communicate with earth. For the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, we showed people what that historic event might have looked like if Ford's technology didn't exist.
